Blindness Detection Function (CLEAN FRONT WINDSHIELD Indication)
If the following message appears on the MID, the camera lens or the windshield has enough dirt to obstruct the camera view, and the monocular camera driver support system will stop operating.
Clean the camera lens or windshield. Once the camera's view is unobstructed, the indicator on the MID turns off and the monocular camera driver support system automatically turns back to ON.
NOTE:
- The multipurpose camera determines a blindness condition if it cannot detect the distinct outlines of the entire image (changes of scenery, object size, shape, etc.). Even if there is no obstruction on the front windshield, the multipurpose camera may determine a blindness condition if poor visibility is caused by:
-
- Window cloudiness, sticker, backlight, frozen, heavy fog, dusk, heavy rain, heavy snow, etc.
- When the multipurpose camera recovers to a condition where it can detect the distinct outlines of the entire image (changes of scenery, object size, shape, etc.), the warning indicator turns off, and the system resumes normal operation.
