Radio Reset Procedure

For radio RPO's IOU and IOT this procedure needs to be followed before a radio is removed for replacement.
NOTE:
Selecting Continue restores all factory settings
- In Radio, Settings select Return to Factory Settings.
- Three options will be listed, select each option below then select Continue to reset.
- Reset Vehicle Settings
- Erase Settings and Personal Data
- Clear Default Applications
- Wait 2 min then ignition/vehicle OFF.
- Replace A11 Radio and program, refer to Control Module References
- Start engine and allow to run for 3 min.
- Ignition/Vehicle OFF, open/close driver door.
- Allow vehicle modules to sleep, this may take up to 5 min.
- Ignition/vehicle ON, download customers desired applications.
NOTE:
If the Radio Reset is unable to be performed on the original radio due to a blank screen or similar failure follow the steps below:
- Replace A11 Radio and program, refer to Control Module References .
- Attempt to download or access any app.
- If an error is displayed perform an OnStar Blue Button press and diagnose the issue with the help of an OnStar advisor.
