Emission Control Applications - Volume 2

The emission control applications section is divided alphabetically by manufacturer. In this section, you will find a listing of emission control systems required for 1966-present domestic gasoline powered vehicles and 1968-present imported gasoline powered vehicles. For quick reference, major emission control systems and devices listed in the emission control applications section of this manual are in bold type. To help identify some of the major systems, emission control system components, devices and other related controls are listed in light type. The EGR Test No. column is used to determine the function test that applies to that vehicle in EGR FUNCTION TESTING. If a function test is not referenced, the manufacturer did not provide a specific test for the EGR system. Often, in later model vehicles, a scanner may provide testing through the PCM for the EGR system. In other cases, EGR testing may available in appropriate diagnostic information.
