Engine Coolant Capacities: Maintenance
NOTE:
Vehicles designate maintenance schedule "A" or "B" on glovebox and engine emission control information decal.
Inspect cooling system every 15 months or 15, 000 miles on vehicles with maintenance schedule "B", and every 20 months or 20, 000 miles on vehicles with maintenance schedule "A". Drain, clean and flush system if inspection indicates sufficient dirt or rust to impair cooling ability. Ford Motor Co. recommends that coolant should be replaced every 40 months or 40, 000 miles.
