Red Wire Circuit
- If no spark occurred in step 3 ) of Basic System Check, measure battery voltage. Then using a straight pin, puncture red wire of control module's 2-wire harness (between module and connector). See Fig. 5. Connect voltmeter positive lead to straight pin and negative lead to ground. Voltage on red wire should be within 1.0 volt of battery voltage. If so, proceed to step 1) of Coil Primary Circuit Check.
- If not, repair the wire feeding the red wire and repeat previous tests. If spark occurs at modified plug, ignition system is okay.
