Output State Test

  1. The Output State Test is used to diagnose each actuator. Test is performed in the Key On - Engine Off Test mode after Continuous codes have been sent. DO NOT  disable self-test but momentarily depress throttle and release. All auxiliary EEC outputs will be activated at this time. Another throttle depression will turn them off.
  2. Connect VOM to self-test output pin 4. Initialize Key On - Engine Off On Demand Test. When Continuous codes are completed, VOM will read 0 volts. Depress accelerator to turn on actuators. VOM readings above 10.5 volts indicate actuators are on, readings below 2 volts indicate actuators are off.
  3. Disconnect VOM from pin 4 and connect to appropriate actuator. Measure output state voltage of actuator. Each test will tell what action to take according to reading on VOM.
