Test Y - Power Input Test (Code 55)
- Turn ignition off and wait 10 seconds. Deactivate Key On - Engine Off Test. Disconnect processor 60 pin connector and inspect connectors. Connect breakout box to processor and harness. Connect voltmeter positive lead to breakout box pin 5 and negative lead to pin 40. Measure voltage with engine running. If voltage is over 13.5, continue with test. If voltage is between 10.5 volts and 13.5 volts, problem is not in EEC system, check charging system. If voltage is less than 10.5 volts, turn engine off, repair circuit 20 and repeat Quick Test.
- Perform Engine Running Test. If code 55 is present, replace processor and repeat Quick Test. If no code 55, refer to system wiring diagram to isolate intermittent problem.
