Catalytic Converter: Maintenance

There is no scheduled maintenance of a catalytic converter since it is designed to last lifetime of vehicle. If it does not perform correctly, replace it. On some General Motors vehicles, equipped with converters that are filled with catalyst coated beads, bead removal and replacement is possible.
