Test R - Key Power Check
- Turn ignition off and wait 10 seconds. Install breakout box and reconnect ECA. With DVOM on 20 volt scale, connect leads to box pins 5 and 60. Perform Engine Running Self-Test and observe DVOM. If reading exceeds 17.5 volts during test, repair charging system. If reading remains below 17.5 volts and code 65 appears, replace ECA and repeat Quick Test. If DVOM remains below 17.5 volts and no code 65, go to next step.
- Perform Key On-Engine Off Self-Test and record Continuous codes. If code 65 not present, charging system is functioning properly. If code 65 is present, service charging system.
