No Diagnostic Code - Functional Test Not Operating

  1. Ensure that test connections, jumper wire, and VOM were connected properly.
  2. Disconnect MCU connector. Check for continuity between Self-Test connector and MCU (circuits 60, 96 and 201). Check to ensure circuit (96) from MCU to canister purge solenoid is not shorted to ground. Repair as required and retest.
  3. Disconnect MCU connector. With ignition on, battery voltage should be present at pin 20. If not, check fuse. With ignition off, pin 14 should have continuity to ground. If not, repair. If wiring is okay, replace MCU module and retest.
