Water Separator

  1. When water level in water separator reaches a maximum level, a warning lamp on the dash will light up. Warning lamp will also light up whenever key is in "START" position. When warning lamp is lit, it is necessary to drain water from separator.
  2. Stop vehicle and shut off engine. Pull up on remote control drain handle (located behind driver's seat) and hold valve open until about 45 seconds after light goes out. Release remote handle.
  3. Restart engine and check warning lamp. If warning lamp is still lit, fuel system needs to be checked or repaired. The only serviceable item on separator is the water level sensor.
