Output State Test

  1. These checks are specified in the testing charts. An Output State Test is used to diagnose each actuator. Test is performed in the KEY ON/ENGINE OFF (KOEO) SELF-TEST mode after Continuous/Memory codes have been sent. With Self-Test activated, momentarily depress throttle to WOT position and release. More auxiliary EEC actuators will be energized at this time.
  2. A second full throttle depression will turn them off. Use a digital volt-ohmmeter (DVOM) to check output states. Readings above 10.5 volts indicate actuators are on. Readings below 2 volts indicate actuators are off. Each test will tell what action should be taken according to voltage shown on DVOM.
