2WD Models
- Raise vehicle on hoist. Remove front wheel assemblies. Remove upper ball joint nut. Remove cotter pin on lower ball stud. Back nut down to end of stud.
- Strike spindle near upper and lower ball joints to break spindle loose from ball joint studs. Use Camber Adjuster Remover (D81T-3010-B) to wedge camber adjuster out of spindle.
- Replace adjuster with desired camber adjuster. Camber adjusters are available in 0°, 1/2°, 1° and 1 1/2°.
- To increase camber (more positive), align slot as follows: on drivers side, point slot rearward. On passenger side, point slot forward.
- To decrease camber (more negative), align slot as follows: on drivers side, point slot forward. On passenger side, point slot rearward.
- Apply Loctite or equivalent to upper ball stud and hand start upper ball stud. Hand start lower ball nut. Partially tighten lower ball stud nut to 35 ft. lbs. (47 N.m). Tighten upper ball stud to 85-110 ft. lbs. (115-150 N.m).
- Finish tightening lower ball stud to 104-146 ft. lbs. (141-198 N.m). Advance nut to the next castellation and install cotter pin. Install front wheel assemblies and lower vehicle.
