Wheel Alignment Specifications & Procedures: Adjustments: Toe

  1. Loosen adjusting sleeve clamp bolts on each end of tie rod. Rotate sleeve(s) until correct toe alignment is obtained.
  2. With clamps 3/16" (5 mm) from end of sleeve on 4WD models, position clamp bolts horizontally and with nuts toward front (rear) of vehicle. See Fig 1 . Tighten sleeve to 35 ft. lbs. (47 N.m).
  3. With clamps centered between the adjustment sleeve lock ring nibs on all other models, position clamp bolts horizontally (vertically) and with nuts pointing downward or toward front (rear) of vehicle. Tighten sleeve to 35 ft. lbs. (47 N.m).
