Glow Plug System Test: Notes

NOTE: The following is a series of tests that can be used to diagnose the glow plug system.
CAUTION: DO NOT  by-pass timed pulse function of glow plug system. A constant 12-volt current to glow plugs will cause them to overheat and fail within seconds. Severe engine damage could result.
NOTE: The Glow Plug Test below has been updated due to Ford Technical Service Bulletin number 88-11-19.
