ISSUE: The fuel control pinpoint test for the 1.9L CFI, 2.3L HSC CFI and 2.5L HSC CFI engines do not list a mechanical fault in the fuel injector assembly as a potential area for action. The affected Shop Manuals are as follows:

^ 1985 Engine/Emission Diagnosis Manual, Volume H, Pages 22-131 and 22-132.

^ 1986 Engine/Emission Diagnosis Manual, Volume H, Pages 21-151 and 21-152.

^ 1987 Engine/Emission Diagnosis Manual, Volume H, Pages 19-153 and 19-154.

^ 1988 Engine/Emission Diagnosis Manual, Volume H, Pages 19-135 and 19-136.

ACTION: If service is required, use the diagnostic information on pages 23 through 30 of this TSB. This information should be inserted in your Engine/Emission Diagnosis Manuals, Volume H.
