Riding Height Specifications

Ensure tires are correctly inflated, cargo compartment is empty and fuel tank is full. Bounce vehicle several times to normalize ride height.

Most vehicles provide front wheel alignment specifications which allow camber and cater adjustment for a large range of ride heights. Ride height for light trucks is listed as in the alignment tables. Ride height measurement points are shown. See Fig 1 .

Ford recommends inspection of side vehicle lean for certain vehicles. To determine, measure from bottom of fender lip to ground. See Fig 2 . For F150, F250, F350 (2WD), F150 (4WD) and Bronco, a maximum of 5/8" difference is allowable for the front. A maximum of 3/4" difference is allowable for the rear. Any lean condition must be corrected before alignment is attempted.
