Steering Column: Inspection

Check bearings and sliding surfaces for smooth rotation. Check lock cylinder for scoring and smooth operation. Inspect "U" joints and pivot pins for looseness. Check that tilt mechanism locks securely in each detent position. Replace any worn or damaged parts.
