Description & Operation
The pulse air system reduces Hydrocarbons (HC) and Carbon Monoxide (CO) emissions by providing air for continued combustion of unburned gases in the exhaust system. System uses negative pressure pulses in the exhaust system to draw air into the catalytic converter and exhaust manifold.
System consists of an air control valve and air control valve solenoid, reed valves (2), vacuum signal lines and air delivery lines. See Fig 1 .
