Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)

A nonadjustable Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is mounted to the throttle shaft and is used to supply a voltage output signal proportional to the throttle position. The TPS signal is used by the computer to determine engine operating conditions in relation to throttle position.
