Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS)
This sensor is used on turbo engines only and is located in the base of the distributor. This sensor detects crankshaft angle at equally spaced intervals and signals the ECA, which uses the signal to determine engine RPM. This signal affects, air/fuel ratio, injector timing, idle sped, EGR flow, canister purge flow, fuel pressure, turbo boost pressure and ignition timing.
