Service Bulletin Information: Information: Repair

  1. Remove battery. Remove A/C accessory drive belt. Remove alternator accessory drive belt. Remove alternator adjustment bolt. Raise and support vehicle. Remove right side splash shield. Remove crankshaft pulley from engine. Remove lower timing belt cover and gasket.
  2. Install new timing belt cover, gasket and crankshaft pulley. Disconnect right tie rod end to allow room for alternator removal. Disconnect alternator wiring and remove alternator from vehicle. Remove alternator pulley. Install new alternator pulley supplied with kit. Reinstall alternator on vehicle. Reconnect alternator wiring.
  3. Reconnect right tie rod end. Reinstall inner splash shield and lower vehicle. Loosely install the alternator adjustment bolt. Install and adjust A/C accessory drive belt and new service alternator drive belt. Reinstall battery.
