The self-test input (1 pin) connector and the self-test output (6 pin) connector are both used while performing the Quick Test diagnostic procedure with the Super Star Tester II (007-00028) or an analog voltmeter (059-00010). When the self-test input connector is grounded, a signal is sent to the electronic control assembly activating the self-test mode. The self-test output connector is used for retrieving service codes stored from resulting faults while the vehicle was in normal operation. Both connectors are located in the engine compartment behind the driver's side strut tower, Fig. 12.
