Test 14, Ignition Module Check


Disconnect 2-Pin connector from the ignition coil, before checking the ignition module.
1. Disconnect ignition module electrical connector.
2. Connect a suitable volt-ohmmeter, and Rotunda Ignitor Tester 105-00005 or equivalent. Ensure volt-ohmmeter is connected with the positive lead to ground and the negative lead to the ignition module A terminal.
3. Connect jumper wires as follows:
a. Jumper ignition module terminal B to ground.
b. Jumper ignition module terminal C to battery positive.
4. Set the volt-ohmmeter scale to X1.
5. Turn the tester On while observing the volt-ohmmeter scale. The volt-ohmmeter pointer needle should jump to approximately half its scale, then return.
6. If reading is satisfactory, proceed to Test 15.
7. If reading is unsatisfactory, replace ignition module.
