"E" Series

  1. Loosen bolts attaching steering column bracket to brake and clutch pedal support. Loosen steering column opening cover plate-to-dash panel bolts.
  2. Loosen steering column opening cover clamp bolt. Verify coupling pin to flange cut-out clearance is .160 (4.06 mm). See Fig 1 . If clearance is not within specification, loosen flange coupling nuts and adjust.
  3. When adjustment is completed, torque all nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
