Test N: Step 16

16) Check Coil Pack Circuit For Shorts To Ground And Power Turn ignition key OFF. Disconnect EDIS module pins 1-12. Disconnect coil pack. Set DVOM on 200,000 ohm scale. Measure resistance between pin 4 and pins 10, 11 and 12 at the EDIS module connector. Measure resistance between pin 8 and pins 10, 11 and 12 at the EDIS module connector. If each resistance is greater than 10,000 ohms, refer to I - SYSTEM/COMPONENT TESTS article. If each resistance is not greater than 10,000 ohms, repair indicated short circuit, reconnect all components and rerun QUICK TEST.

NOTE: There is a break in the step numbering sequence at this point, skipping from step 16) to step 20). Break is due to previous chart references to these testing procedures. No test procedures have been omitted.
