Test N: Step 5

5) Check IDM Circuit For Short to Ground  Turn key off and wait 10 seconds. Disconnect "E" core ignition coil on TFI vehicles and DIS module connector (pins No. 7-12) on DIS equipped vehicles. Disconnect EDIS module on EDIS equipped vehicles. Install breakout box and leave ECA disconnected. With DVOM on 200-k/ohm scale, measure resistance between Test Pin No. 4 and test pins No. 40, 46, and 60. If any reading is less than 10 k/ohms, remove breakout box, repair short to ground in IDM circuit, reconnect all components and rerun QUICK TEST. If any readings is 10 k/ohms or more, go to step 8).
