Test DQ: Step 13

13) Checking FIPL Circuit For Shorts To Ground  Turn ignition switch to "OFF" position. Wait 10 seconds. With the FIPL connector and ECA 60-pin connector disconnected, inspect for damaged pins, corrosion, or loose wires. Repair as necessary. Install breakout box. Leave ECA disconnected. Set DVOM at 200,000 ohm scale. Measure resistance between test pin No. 47 and test pins No. 40, 46 and 60 at the breakout box. If each resistance is greater than 10,000 ohms, replace the ECA and perform the QUICK TEST. If not greater than 10,000 ohms, repair short, remove breakout box, reconnect all components and repeat the QUICK TEST.
