6) Check For Voltage to Bulb  Turn key off. Set DVOM on 20-volt scale. With KOEO, measure voltage from battery negative post to the hot side of the CHECK ENGINE or SERVICE ENGINE SOON bulb. If voltage is greater than 10.5 volts, go to next step. If not, go to step 8).
