2.9L Engine

  1. On cylinder to be adjusted, position camshaft so base of the lobe is resting on the rocker arm to be checked. Loosen adjusting screws until a noticeable gap between rocker arm and valve tip is noticed.
  2. Valve lifter plunger should be fully extended under load of internal spring. Carefully screw in adjustment screws until rocker arms slightly touch the valve stem then turn adjusting screw in 1 1/2 turns.
