Position each piston at TDC on compression stroke, so both valves are closed. Using Lifter Bleed Down Wrench (T83T-6500-A) bleed down the lifters until the lifter plunger bottoms and check valve clearance. If clearances are not correct, check valve train components for wear and damage. Maximum valve clearance is .185" (4.6 mm).
