  1. Install fuel lines on injection pump using Fuel Line Nut Wrench (T83T-9396-A) one at a time, and tighten 22 ft. lbs. (30 N.m). Install elbow in injection pump adapter and tighten to a minimum of 6 ft. lbs. (8 N.m). Tighten further, if necessary, to align elbow with injection pump fuel inlet line, but do not exceed 360° of rotation 10 ft. lbs. (13 N.m).
  2. Remove caps from fuel lines and connect lines to nozzles. Tighten, using Fuel Line Nut Wrench (T83T-9396-A), to 22 ft. lbs. (30 N.m). Uncap and connect fuel line from fuel filter to injection pump and tighten to 22 ft. lbs. (30 N.m). Install fuel line retaining clamps and tighten.
WARNING: Keep eyes and hands away from fuel spray. Fuel spraying from partially opened connection under high pressure can penetrate skin and cause infection. Medical attention should be provided immediately in event of skin penetration.
  3. Install air cleaner. Connect negative battery cables. Run engine and check for fuel leaks. If necessary purge, high pressure fuel lines of air by loosening connector one-half turn and cranking engine until bubble-free flows from connection.
