Fuel Injection Lines: Removal

  1. Clean nozzles and surrounding areas. Disconnect negative battery cables. Remove air cleaner. Cover opening in manifold to prevent entry of dirt.
  2. Disconnect accelerator cable and speed control cable (if equipped) from injection pump. Disconnect fuel line from filter to injection pump. Cap all fittings. Remove fuel line clamps from fuel lines to be removed.
  3. Remove injection pump inlet elbow and inlet fitting adaptor. Fuel lines must be removed in the following sequence: 5-6-4-8-3-1-7-2. Install caps on each end of each fuel line and pump fitting as it is removed and identify each fuel line accordingly.
  4. Remove injection nozzle lines from injection pump, using Fuel Line Nut Wrench (T83T-9396-A). Tag lines for reassembly reference. Cap all openings immediately.
