Removal & Installation

Remove distributor cap. Rotate engine until No. 1 cylinder is on top dead center of compression stroke. Mark direction of rotor and location of vacuum advance for reassembly reference. Remove distributor hold-down bolt and distributor. To install, reverse removal procedure. See Figure . Check and adjust timing as required.
