Fuel Injectors: Removal

  1. Start engine and disconnect VANE Airflow (VAF) meter connector. When engine stalls, turn ignition off. Reconnect VAF meter connector. Remove intake plenum. See INTAKE PLENUM.
  2. Remove fuel inlet and fuel return line from fuel rail. Use shop towel to cover fitting (to absorb residual pressure) when opening fuel system. Remove pressure regulator. See Figure . Remove fuel rail attaching bolts and fuel rail. Remove fuel injectors.
