Keyboard Function Check 2

  1. Using Gauge System Tester (Rotunda 021-00055), connect one lead of tester to Black/White wire at instrument keyboard 10-pin connector and other lead to ground.
  2. Instrument keyboard 10-pin connector is located behind trip computer keyboard. See Figure .
  3. Slowly adjust resistance from 0-1000 ohms and back to 0 again. Check to see if A/ECON, I/ECON, AV/SPD or DIST functions are working. If functions are not working, proceed to KEYBOARD FUNCTION CHECK 3  .
  4. If all functions are working, replace keyboard. If only some functions are working, replace trip computer.
