PCV Valve (1.9L CFI)

  1. Remove vacuum control hose at dual orifice valve (located at throttle body port). Apply manifold vacuum to port. There should be a significant change in engine RPM. If no RPM change, replace dual orifice valve assembly.
  2. Remove crankcase vent connector from side of air cleaner. Place stiff piece of paper over crankcase vent connector nipple. Vacuum should hold paper in place for one minute.
  3. Remove vacuum hose (small port) at crankcase vent connector. Place stiff piece of paper over vacuum hose. Vacuum should hold paper in place for one minute. If not, replace crankcase vent connector.
  4. Remove dual orifice valve assembly from system. Inspect for blockage through valve. If blocked, replace valve.
