Test B6 - Barometric Pressure Sensor

NOTE: Enter this procedure only when a Code 14 is displayed during the QUICK TEST procedure or when directed here from another CIRCUIT TEST. To prevent unnecessary replacement of components, note that the following non-EEC items may be at fault: unusually high or low atmospheric barometer reading, blocked vacuum lines and basic mechanical engine components.

Visually check all wiring, harnesses, connectors and components for evidence of damage, overheating, shorting or looseness. If a fault is found, repair as necessary. If no faults are found, erase codes from memory. Perform KOEO and KOER SELF-TESTS. If code 14 continues to appear, replace ECA.

NOTE: The barometric pressure sensor is built into the ECA and cannot be replace separately. If code 14 is given and cannot be erased, ECA must be replaced.
