Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Description and Operation

On all models except 1.3L/4-80.8 engine, the manual lever position switch, detects shift lever position and sends a signal to the electronic control assembly, 4EAT control module and incorporates a neutral drive switch which enables the starting system. The manual lever position switch is located on transaxle with shift linkage.
