Removal


1. Remove clutch hub retaining nut using spanner wrench T81P-19623-MH or equivalent. On 10P15A compressors, use strap wrench D85L-6000-A or equivalent. It is necessary to connect field coil to a 12V source to energize the coil engaging the clutch.

2. Remove clutch hub and shims from compressor shaft with tool T80L-19703-B or equivalent, Fig. 2. Holding tool with 1 inch wrench, tighten bolt with 1/2 inch wrench. Use tool T88C-19703-BH or equivalent, Fig. 1a, to remove hub plate of 10P15A compressors.
3. Remove clutch pulley retaining snap ring.
4. Remove pulley and bearing assembly from compressor. If pulley and bearing assembly cannot be removed by hand, use a suitable puller.
