Pinpoint Test F - Brake Light On

  1. Ensure brake fluid level is okay. If brake fluid level is low, check for external leak and repair if necessary. If brake fluid level is okay, go to next step.
  2. Unplug connector from master cylinder reservoir cap. Check for continuity between pins No. 1 and No. 3. See Figure . If no continuity exists, go to step 3). If continuity exists, replace master cylinder reservoir cap.
  3. Check continuity between pin No. 2 of reservoir cap vehicle harness connector and ground. If continuity exists, repair circuit No. 977. If no continuity exists, verify BRAKE light is still on.
