Electrical Component Locator: Switches

CAUTION: DO NOT connect or disconnect Air Bag System Diagnostic Module (ASDM) electrical connector unless module mounting tabs are securely bolted (grounded) to vehicle. ALWAYS disconnect and isolate battery negative cable before servicing system.

A/C Clutch Cycling Press. Switch
Except 3.0L SHO		On right side of firewall, on top of accumulator. See Figure .
3.0L SHO		At right front of engine, on accumulator.
Back-Up/Neutral Safety Switch
3.0L		On top of transaxle. See Figure .
3.8L		On top of transaxle. See Figure .
Brake/Stoplight Switch		On top of brake pedal support. See Figure .
Brake Pedal Position Switch		On brake pedal support.
Clutch Switch		On clutch pedal support.
Door/Liftgate Ajar Switch		At each door jamb, including liftgate.
Dual Brake Warning Switch		On master cylinder. See Figure .
Fuel Pump Inertia Switch
Sedan		In luggage compartment, above left wheel well.
Station Wagon		On right rear quarter panel.
Inertia Switch
Sedan		Forward of left rear quarter panel, above left wheelwell.
Wagon		Behind rear quarter rear of wheelwell.
Keyless Entry Switch Assembly		In driver's door, above handle.
Key Reminder Switch		On steering column, integral with ignition switch.
Low Oil Level Switch
2.5L		On oil pan. See Figure .
3.0L		On oil pan. See Figure .
Oil Pressure Switch
2.5L		On block, above oil filter.
3.0L		On top left of engine. See Figure .
3.0L SHO		On lower left of engine. See Figure .
3.8L		On lower right of engine, above oil filter.
Parking Brake Switch		Above parking brake pedal.
Power Steering Pressure Switch
3.0L SHO		On lower left rear side of engine. See Figure .

Seat Belt Switch		In driver's seat belt buckle.
