Circuit Test J - Poor Vehicle Tracking During Anti-Lock Function, Light Off

  1. Verify Condition Verify poor tracking condition exists. Turn air suspension off. Bleed brake system. Turn air suspension on when vehicle is off hoist. If vehicle still does not track properly, go to step 2).
  2. Anti-Lock Operation Check (LF Wheel) Turn air suspension off. Raise vehicle. Ensure wheels rotate freely. Turn ignition off. Unplug 32-pin connector from ECM. Connect Breakout Box (T83L-50-EEC-IV) and Adapter (T87P-50-ALA) to ECM connector. Short breakout box pins No. 14, No. 18 and No. 31 together. Apply moderate brake pedal effort. Check that left front wheel will not rotate. 2a) Turn ignition on. DO NOT leave ignition on for more than one minute. Left front wheel should rotate freely with ignition on. If wheel rotates freely, turn ignition off. Disconnect wire leads and go to step 3). If wheel does not rotate freely or brake pedal drops, replace solenoid valve block assembly. Turn air suspension on when vehicle is off hoist.
  3. Anti-Lock Operation Check (RF Wheel) Turn air suspension off. Short breakout box pins No. 13, No. 18 and No. 32 together. Apply moderate brake pedal effort. Check that right front wheel will not rotate. 3a) Turn ignition on. DO NOT leave ignition on for more than one minute. Right front wheel should rotate freely with ignition on. If wheel rotates freely, turn ignition off. Disconnect wire leads and go to step 4). If wheel does not rotate freely or brake pedal drops, replace solenoid valve block assembly. Turn air suspension on when vehicle is off hoist.
  4. Anti-Lock Operation Check (Rear Wheels) Turn air suspension off. Short breakout box pins No. 12, No. 18 and No. 30 together. Apply moderate brake pedal effort. Check that rear wheels will not rotate. Turn ignition on. DO NOT leave ignition on for more than one minute. Rear wheels should rotate freely with ignition on. If wheels rotate freely, turn ignition off. Disconnect wire leads and breakout box. 4a) Lower vehicle. Reverify symptom. If wheels do not rotate freely or brake pedal drops, replace solenoid valve block assembly. Turn air suspension on when vehicle is off hoist.
