Test 45, Inspect VR Sensor & Trigger Wheel
If VR sensor or trigger wheel is damaged, loose or misaligned, repair or replace components as necessary. Remove all test equipment, and reconnect all components. Clear Continuous Memory, and check for fault codes. If VR sensor or trigger wheel is not damaged, loose or misaligned, there is no PIP signal output from EDIS module. Replace EDIS module. Remove all test equipment, and reconnect all components. Clear Continuous Memory, and check for fault codes.
NOTE:
Tests 46-56 may also be used for diagnosing Continuous Memory Code 45 and/or "CHECK ENGINE" light on: coil failure.
CAUTION:
DO NOT connect EEC-IV ECA to EEC-IV breakout box while performing EDIS diagnosis unless so instructed.
