Repair and Diagnosis: Electrical: Starter: Overhaul: Reassembly
- Reverse disassembly procedure. Lubricate armature shaft and splines with low temperature grease. Fill drive end housing bearing bore approximately 1/4 full with grease.
- Tighten through bolts to 55-75 INCH lbs. (6.2-8.5 N.m). Position solenoid so solenoid plunger is attached to drive lever. Perform NO-LOAD BENCH TESTING to ensure current draw is within specification.
