Test 9, Check Pip Circuit For Short To Ground

With key off and ECA disconnected, disconnect EDIS module from EDIS module tee. Leave EDIS cable connected to EDIS module side of vehicle harness connector. Disconnect EDIS diagnostic cable positive lead from battery positive. Set DVOM to 2-k/ohm scale. Measure resistance between breakout box pins No. J43 (PIP E) and J7 (BAT -).

If resistance is less than 5 ohms, PIP is shorted to ground in harness. Check connectors, and repair or replace harness. Check for fault codes. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, go to next test.
