Pressure Switch Check
- Start engine. Disconnect pressure switch hose and apply 10.5-11.5 psi (.72-.80 kg/cm2 ) compressed air to switch. Engine should stall or run poorly with air pressure applied. If engine does not function as described, turn ignition off.
- Disconnect pressure switch connector. Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, apply positive lead to Light Green/Black wire and negative lead to ground. Voltage should be 10 volts with 10.5-11.5 psi (.72-.80 kg/cm2 ) applied, and zero volt with no air pressure applied.
- If pressure is not as specified, turn ignition off. With 10.5-11.5 psi (.72-.80 kg/cm2 ) applied, check continuity between switch terminals. Continuity should be present with 10.5-11.5 psi (.72-.80 kg/cm2 ) applied. Continuity should not be present when no air pressure is applied.
