Q-6 Relay Operation

Set voltmeter to 20V scale. Connect hydraulic relay Black/Blue and Blue/Orange wires to ground with jumper wire(s).

  1. Measure voltage between hydraulic control unit Red/Yellow wire and ground.
  2. Measure voltage between ABS control unit Red/Yellow wire and ground.
  3. Measure voltage between hydraulic control unit Black/Red wire and ground. With key off, voltage should be zero volts. With key on, voltage should be greater than 10 volts. With engine running, voltage should be greater than 10 volts. If voltage readings are correct, repair Blue/Orange or Black/Blue wires from ABS relay to ABS control unit. If voltage readings are not correct, repair Red/Yellow or Black/Red wires. If all wires are okay, replace relay.
