1.8L With Manual Transmission

  1. Connect Breakout Box (T83L-50-EEC-IV), leaving ECA disconnected. Connect digital volt-ohmmeter positive lead to test pin No. 18. Connect negative lead to test pin No. 46. Continuity should be present with throttle at idle position.
  2. Connect digital volt-ohmmeter positive lead to test pin No. 27. Connect negative lead to test pin No. 46. Continuity should be present with throttle at wide open position. If continuity is not as specified, perform KOEO self-test. See the appropriate TESTS W/CODES article in this section.
