Fa-4 Solenoid Check At Hydraulic Control Unit

Ensure ignition is off. Set ohmmeter to 200-ohm scale.

  1. Measure resistance between hydraulic control unit terminals Yellow/White and Black/Red wires. Resistance should be 2-4 ohms.
  2. Measure resistance between hydraulic control unit terminals Yellow/Red and Black/Red wires. Resistance should be 2-4 ohms.
  3. Measure resistance between hydraulic control unit terminals Yellow/Green and Black/Red. Resistance should be 2-4 ohms.
  4. Measure resistance between hydraulic control unit terminals Blue and Black/Red wires. Resistance should be 2-4 ohms.
  5. Measure resistance between hydraulic control unit terminals Black/White and Black/Red wires. Resistance should be 2-4 ohms.
  6. Measure resistance between hydraulic control unit terminals Brown and Black/Red wires. Resistance should be 2-4 ohms. If all resistance readings are correct, repair wire(s) in question. If resistance readings are not correct, replace hydraulic control unit.
